What makes Melissa P ROTFL?

The authors aren't the only ones answering questions about what they find funny. All of us at CLC are doing it too! Here are Melissa P's answers!

Funniest chick lit novel?
This is really hard, but I think "Sammy's Hill" and "Sammy's House," I know it's technically two, but they go together. I was laughing out loud the entire way through both books. For anyone that has not yet read them, please do yourself a favor and read them ASAP!

Funniest book character (chick lit or any kind)?
Helen Walsh of the Marian Keyes (Walsh family) novels.

Favorite comedy film?
Hmmm I think it's a tie between "Wedding Crashers" and "The Proposal."

Funniest TV show?
There are so many! "Friends" is always silly. I also love the humorous banter on the "Gilmore Girls", can't get enough of that show. Ooh! and "Glee"!

Funniest song?
"I love College" by Asher Roth. It makes me miss the good old days :)

Funniest quirk you had as a child?
I have no idea, probably putting on long drawn out talent shows for my poor family!

Funniest thing you heard a kid say?
My niece Baylee used to call a whoopie cushion a "whooshie cuton" when she was a toddler! She also used to say that she was going to the "Hairport to ride on a hairplane" and put on Glip Gloss.

Funniest thing that happened to you recently?
We had a dress-down day at my new job recently and I wore really nice dark jeans and a dressy top with a cardigan, halfway through the day I realized that there was a huge hole in the back of my jeans and had to wear my cardigan tied around my waist the rest of the day. My colleagues thought it was hilarious...

Funniest misunderstanding?
This is a tough one, I honestly can't think of any...

Strangest thing you find funny?
I find everything funny. Once I start laughing, I can't stop. I'm like a child in church, if I am absolutely in the most inappropriate place you could laugh, I will be doubled over silently cracking up with tears streaming down my face. I just can't help it. I am a very slap-happy person by nature.

Favorite inside joke you have with anyone you know?
"I said sorry!" But said with the British cockney accent of Vicky Pollard from the show "Little Britain". My brother-in-law Dave, my sister, and my husband say that to each other about everything. If you google the show (and can actually find episodes that haven't been blacked out) you will know why it's funny :)

Favorite comedian?
Ron White. I love his dry, raunchy, lazy style of sarcasm.

Favorite humorous quote? (from a movie)
"Why are you naked?!?!" along with "Why are you wet?!?!" from "The Proposal." I crack up at that scene every time. I told you, I think everything is hilarious.

Funniest TV or movie character?
Phoebe from "Friends" or Brittany from "Glee".

Favorite joke?
It's too raunchy to tell you ;)
