Whitney Dineen's Curvalicious Celebration...plus a book giveaway

We're pleased to introduce you to Whitney Dineen, who is here to help us celebrate our blogoversary AND Chick Lit Month with a party for her sophomore novel, The Reinvention of Mimi Finnegan.

If you haven't met Whitney yet, all you need to know is that she's as sweet as the candy she has sold to many celebrities from Whitney's Goodies.

Like a few of us here, Whitney hails from Chicago but now lives in Oregon with her husband and daughters. You might not know this, but she was a Ford model. She also lived in New York and L.A. after college.

Her debut novel, She Sins at Midnight, received accolades from Sara last year (see her review) and we're excited to feature Mimi this time around! TWO lucky party-goers from the US will leave with copies of The Reinvention of Mimi Finnegan. However, Book Mama Blog has another chance to win! (Also US only.)

Visit Whitney at her website, Facebook, and Twitter.

The party is being thrown by Mimi Finnegan who will be played by Christina Hendricks, as they are soul sisters!

Who will be there?
Mimi’s special guests include Bridget Jones, the girls from Sex and the City and actor/producer, John Schneider.

Just so you don't show up in the same outfit....
Mimi is wearing a sexy red cocktail dress and three inch heels that make her bunion ache.

Where can you find it?
The party is being held at a Weight Watchers meeting.

Put on your dancing shoes...
The playlist includes, Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” “Lady in Red,” “Baby Got Back” and Ella Fitzgerald’s version of “At Last.”

Theme:
The party theme is “Curves!” so rock your clingiest dress and join us!

In case of thirst:
We’re serving champagne because we’re celebrating!

Thanks to Whitney for inviting us to join Mimi's festivities and for sharing her book with our readers!

Don't forget to stop by the International Chick Lit Month blog to see who the latest visitors are!

Light and fluffy chocolate mousse. With whipped cream. That is all.

When I think of parties, I usually think of some sort of cake. I just looked at Whitney's Goodies and man, I really want to try some of those caramels.

Some cookies or cupcakes are nice, just not chocolate.

A dessert called Death By Chocolate Yum! (fudge brownies, Kahlua, chocolate mousse, whipped cream, and toffee bars [Heath bars]).

A must for any party has to include chocolate in some way -- Hershey Candy Kisses in candy dishes set around or on the serving table would fill the bill.

Cake, cupcakes, &/or cookies of some kind might be in order depending on the type of party.
Or finger food appetizers for a different kind of party.

I find that many people like seeing an assortment of chocolates and brownies at parties.
