Spotlight and Giveaway: The House on Mermaid Point

National bestselling author Wendy Wax returns to the beach with, what Karen White calls a “sparkling, deeply satisfying tale,” THE HOUSE ON MERMAID POINT (July 1, 2014). Thanks to Berkley (Penguin), we have one copy for a lucky US reader!

In Ten Beach Road, Maddie, Avery, and Nikki first got to know each other restoring a beachfront mansion. For better or worse they got to know each other inside and out. Now, in THE HOUSE ON MERMAID POINT, they find themselves in a scenario they couldn’t have dreamed up…or could they?

The house they are currently working on belongs to a man that was Maddie’s wildest fantasy at one point—rock-and-roll legend “William the Wild” Hightower. While he’s not thrilled about letting his home be turned into a bed-and-breakfast for a reality show, he is intrigued by Maddie. And newly single Maddie can’t believe that he would be interested in her of all people.

Wax’s trademark “breezy wit” (Atlanta Journal-Constitution) and roots as a southern women’s fiction novelist shine in this warm and witty novel about a group of unlikely friends thrown together by disaster that get a do-over on life, love, and happiness.

About the Author:
Wendy Wax is the author of nine previous novels. A Florida native, she worked in broadcasting before moving to the Atlanta suburbs with her family. Her books have been highly praised and featured in national publications such as USA Today and Woman’s World. Visit her online at her website, Facebook, and Twitter.

It's been a long time I have been to a beach. If I remember right, these are the things I think important. Sunscreen, water and a camera.

Carmex to use on my lips and nose. Ever have sunburned lips? Yikes it hurts. Anyhow, and a large book. And a bucket for when I take a walk and collect shells. Thanks for the giveaway!

I'm pretty boring, my shelter, my sunscreen, a couple of bottles of mineral water. But I usually bring more than that.
