Spotlight and Giveaway: A Hundred Pieces of Me

A few years ago, a non-fiction book called The 100 Thing Challenge was published. The concept sounded interesting, so when we heard about a fictional take on it, we got right on board. We're excited to tell you about A Hundred Pieces of Me by Lucy Dillon....and Penguin (Berkley) has one copy for a lucky US reader!

National bestselling author of Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts, Lucy Dillon, returns with a delightful, compulsively readable novel about the unexpected gift of certainty—A HUNDRED PIECES OF ME (Berkley Trade Paperback Original; September 2, 2014).

Emotionally unwell from her recent divorce, Gina Bellamy needs a fresh start. In order to do this, she decides to get rid of all of her possessions, except for the one hundred things that mean the absolute most to her.

As Gina lets go of the past, she starts to come to terms with everything that has happened in her life and discovers that moving forward is the only option. And when she makes that choice, that’s when the magic happens.

  1. I have a gold puzzle ring from that I got from my first boyfriend when I was 17. It is such a unique piece, I will never part with it. His father used to work in Saudi Arabia and picked it up for me over there.

  6. I still have my camera that uses film, and I don't own a digital camera yet. I use my husband's digital camera when I need to. I, also, still have lots of VHS and a player for it. And, I will never give up on print books. I still prefer it over ebooks.

  9. hmm...that's a tough question. I have a pair of mesh shorts I've had probably 14 years at least. They are the best pajama shorts. I've gained quite a bit of weight since then (I was in high school!) but they seem to have stretched right with me lol. They love me as much as I love them :)

  12. When I was a sophmore, I went to the senior prom with my boyfriend. My mom bought me the most beautiful sophisticated dress and a small heart necklace. I am too old to wear it, and now my 15 year old wears it: it ONLY comes off for soccer games. Makes me smile every time I catch a glimpse of it.
