Reader Spotlight: Whispering Writer

This year, we're doing "Reader Spotlight" posts on a bi-weekly basis. We want to feature readers who have been actively following CLC for a while. We're hoping you can get to know some new friends this way. One of the joys of having CLC is that readers have connected with each other, as a result. That's one of the reasons it was started up in the first place...to bring chick lit fans together from all over the world! We've made some amazing friends because of this blog and we hope you'll get to do so too!

If you'd like to be spotlighted sometime this year, please contact us.

Note from Melissa A: I love Amber's blog. I've been following it for a while now. She has two weekly columns and some other fun posts. I can relate to a lot of what she says in her posts and find everything else really interesting. She and I sometimes e-mail outside of reading each other's blogs and I've enjoyed getting to know her so far. She even wrote a guest review for CLC last week. I found out that her birthday is coming up soon, so send some wishes her way!

Name: Amber

Age: 31

Location: A military base in Oklahoma

How did you find Chick Lit Central?
Via Google. I was searching Chick Lit and it popped up. I am a huge fan of chick lit so I was so happy to find a site dedicated to it. The site has given me ideas on what books to read. I love the reviews!

What are your top FIVE favorite chick lit novels of all time?
The Shopaholic series by Sophia Kinsella. Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot. Lucy Sullivan Is Getting Married by Marian Keyes. Jemima J by Jane Green. Come Together by Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees. (I could list so much more! I also love Sarah Pekkanen, Jennifer Weiner, Nicholas Sparks, Jojo Moyes....to name a few..)

What do you do when you're not reading?
I'm writing! I actually finished a book called The Swimmer's Assistant. You can purchase it here for only .99 cents. I'm also cleaning, running errands, drinking a lot of Diet Coke, and taking care of my two kids (and husband!)

  2. Hi Amber, I was skimming this reader's spotlight and realized that I read your novel, The Swimmer's Assistant, as an e-book last year. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading your future work!

  4. Amber, I bought and read your book yesterday and I loved it! I enjoy reading your blog. I'm not a military wife, but we seem to have so much in common.
