Reader Spotlight: The IT Girl

This is our first time doing a "Reader Spotlight" post. We want to feature readers who have been actively following CLC for a while. We're hoping you can get to know some new friends this way. One of the joys of having CLC is that readers have connected with each other, as a result. That's one of the reasons it was started up in the first place...to bring chick lit fans together from all over the world! We've made some amazing friends because of this blog and we hope you'll get to do so too!

If you'd like to be spotlighted sometime this year, please contact us.

Note from Melissa A: I've started getting to know Karen, as we're practically neighbors! She seems really nice and I've enjoyed e-mailing with her about chick lit and other fun topics. Hope you'll enjoy getting to know her too!

Name: Karen Waskewich
Age: 27
Location: Rockville, MD
How did you find Chick Lit Central:
Twitter. A bunch of authors I followed kept re-tweeting things from Chick Lit Central so I decided to start following myself. The tweets kept bringing me to different articles posted on the website so now I’m a follower for life!

What are your top FIVE favorite chick lit novels of all time:
Wow, that’s a really tough one. If I had to choose, it would be (in no particular order): I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella, In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner, The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks, Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin, and The Beach House by Jane Green.

What do you do when you're not reading:
When I’m not reading, I’m working full time as an IT consultant. But in my free time, I love to cook, travel, and attend live events (such as concerts, plays, author signings, sporting events, and book festivals…you name it and I’ll attend it!) Most recently, I've started blogging and I absolutely love it. I write about books, recipes, and subscription boxes, which I have to admit has become one of my newest obsessions.

Visit Karen at her blog, follow her on Twitter and "friend" her on Facebook. She's going to be doing guest reviews for CLC soon, so be on the lookout for those, as well!
