Guest Blogger Book Review: The Single Girl's To-Do List

By Kim Walker

I am a big fan of the "I Heart" series by Lindsey Kelk and I have to start off right away by saying that I was not disappointed at all in "The Single Girl's To-Do List!!" She uses the same quick wit and humor that is shown in her "I Heart" series and you are kept fully entertained from page to page! But even if you haven't read Lindsey Kelk's series and this is your first experience with her writing, you will, no doubt, fall in love with her.

The book is about Rachel, a 20-something make-up artist who is borderline OCD about making lists. To-do lists, grocery lists, shopping lists; you name it, she has a list for it. So after a failed relationship, Rachel and her two extremely devoted best friends spend a drunken afternoon making a new list: The Single Girl's To-Do List. This list seems to be the perfect distraction for her heartache and it takes Rachel and her friends on some pretty crazy adventures, doing things she has never dreamed of doing before. On her journey, she learns that there is more to life than just having a boyfriend and she feels truly alive for the first time ever!

You will laugh out loud at all the situations Rachel and her friends find themselves in! This is definitely a book that every girl can relate to in some way -- it's a story about friendships, heartbreak, a few career-related mishaps, and love. The perfect ingredients for a true chick-lit book!

Kim Walker is a wife and stay-at-home mother of two children who both have autism and her son also has a rare seizure disorder called Dravet Syndrome. Kim and her family reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and when she manages to find some time for herself, you can bet she has her nose buried in a book. If you'd like to talk about books with Kim, you can find her on Facebook.
